SASSA Takes Expert Services to Fernie Community
Tuesday, August 27, 2024
The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently visiting the Fernie 2 Neighborhood Hall in Mpuluzi to render expert services for the community.
SASSA are going to be rendering companies including new social grant applications, change of payment method, client care enquiries, plus the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.
In a statement, the agency claimed it's alarmed with regard to the high amount of people depending on social grants for survival.
“The goal with the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to a large amount of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.
“This can be mainly because of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no totally functional office focused on service the area on a regular basis. The assistance issue established for intervention ordeals a high inflow of opportunity beneficiaries, that makes it tricky more info for that office to attend to all people who pay a visit to a service point.
“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise a lot more resources to enable the servicing of all prospects and maximize use of Social Assistance companies,” the agency said.
